A hat referred to as made of paper is either made of pure paper or with a mixture of cotton or polyester for better resistance to bending and creasing.

Recycled paper is treated with natural oils and heat and then processed. The result is a "fabric" that is soft enough to wear, strong enough not to wrinkle, and green enough to have a bright future in the industry and be labeled as a material with a low environmental impact.

Twisted paper strands are woven into a continuous length of braid. Then stitched with a slight overlap, starting from the center. The top of the hat and the brim are then shaped into the desired style.

Care and handling of the paper hat

As you can guess, paper is a fragile material, so it is necessary to handle the hat in such a way that the material is not subjected to pressure stress. Any stronger repeated compression of the hat can lead to breaking of the straws. Repeated firm compression of the material with the fingers in the front of the hat when putting it on or taking it off also leads to damage.

Do not expose the paper hat to high humidity. When the hat is very humid, it loses its original shape.

The paper hat cannot be cleaned.
