Sisal mats are made from Sisal straw grown in the Philippines. They are in demand for their very fine weave, which is woven crosswise to create a uniform appearance.

Sisal straw is usually hand-woven into a hat blank. It is then shaped, dyed, finished with a brim, and decorated into the final shape and form.

It stands out for its softness and lightness. It can be knitted twice during production to make it strong and look uniform.

The sisal straw used in the production of hats is 100% natural. It can be used indefinitely, so natural straw, as a material, can be understood as a natural renewable resource.

Straw hat maintenance and care

As you can probably guess, straw is a fragile material, so it is necessary to handle the hat in such a way that the material is not subjected to pressure. Any repeated strong compression of the hat can lead to breakage of the straws. Repeatedly pressing the material firmly with your fingers at the front of the hat when putting it on or taking it off also leads to damage.

Do not expose your straw hat to excessive humidity. If the hat is exposed to excessive humidity, it will lose its original shape.

Cannot be cleaned.
