The hat is made using modern technology that allows wool (felt) to be processed into a very fine form, which is then pleasant, soft and smooth .

The complexity of felt production can be characterized mainly by the high number of work operations (80-150), technological variability and a high proportion of perfect handcraft.

Due to its elasticity, a hat made of wool fibers does not fit tightly against the human skin over its entire surface, which allows for an additional insulating layer of air. In direct contact with the human body, wool gives the impression of warmth and coziness .

Due to its cellular structure, wool is very hygroscopic, i.e. it has the ability to absorb and retain a large amount of moisture absorbed from the environment, thanks to which wool products perfectly absorb human sweat. Wool fiber can absorb moisture by weight of 30% of its dry state. Artificial fibers under the same conditions absorb moisture only in the range of 5%. The felt hat will therefore remain breathable and will not get cold , even if you sweat during physical activity.

The amount of air contained in the fibers does not change during use of the products, therefore, due to their elasticity, they are not subject to permanent deformation. A wool hat is very flexible . A single wool fiber can be bent more than 20,000 times without breaking. Its elasticity and high resistance in sheep's wool products make it resistant to wear, abrasion and tearing.

The sheep from which wool is obtained and subsequently processed are raised all over the world. It can be used indefinitely, so wool, as a material, can be understood as a natural renewable resource .

Cleaning and maintaining your hat

Regularly remove dust from the surface of your hat. Trapped dust dissolved by a drop of water will create a dirty stain that will seep into the felt and be difficult to remove.

A soft bristle brush is best for cleaning dry hat felt. We do not recommend using a regular brush. Always brush in the direction of the hair. If dust spots do form, they can be removed by wiping with a soft cleaning sponge. Wipe the surface in the direction of the hair.

The hat should never be exposed to heavy rain. If it does happen and the hat is soaked with rain, straighten out any creases, dents or holes and if the brim of the hat is drooping, turn it up. Fold the leather or fabric sweatband out of the hat. Place the hat on a flat, clean surface and allow it to air dry.

Do not use a deformed hat. Pressing on any part of a wet hat can cause stains that will only appear when the hat dries. If your scalp or hair becomes sweaty under the hat, remove the sweatband from the hat and wait until the sweat and oil from your hair evaporate and the inside of the hat dries, otherwise the smell of sweat will remain in the hat.

Never leave a hat lying on its brim, especially if it is damp and heavy. The weight of the hat can cause the brim to curl. Fold the brim up when placing it on a table, in a drawer or in a box. If you are storing the hat on a shelf, fold the brim over the edge of the shelf.
